Wins with Thassa’s Oracle often feel cheap. Not to the person winning, of course – a win’s a win, if you don’t like it perhaps you should just git gud – but the rest of the table is often left feeling hollow when someone flips over their library with Hermit Druid, Mirror-Mad Phantasm or Balustrade Spy, and follows it up with Thassa’s Oracle for an easy win. Alternate win conditions often have pretty ridiculous requirements, like Helix Pinnacle or Barren Glory, but the ease with which you can win a game thanks to Thassa’s Oracle leads many to think it runs contrary to the spirit of the Commander format.
